I adore the woman in the picture above. No, not me. The one I’m standing next to (duh!). It seems that every time I see Nkhensani Nkosi, she looks younger and younger. Both her and yumhusband Zam. They’re like Benjamin Button or something.
So the reason I found myself in Nkhensani’s energising presence was the launch of her collaboration with beauty/ cosmetics house Clinique. They’re doing this very clever thing: instead of the usual Clinique Gift With Purchase (where you spend a certain amount of money and get a free gift), you get an exclusive, super cute Stoned Cherrie clutch bag when you buy R850 or more of product.
According to Natasha Bennett from Clinique, Nkhensani was the obvious choice when they thought about doing this campaign. We agree. She’s every bit the modern South African woman – glam, successful, fulfilled. I love anyone who supports local design, so I’m gonna beg Clinique fans to head out to Edgars/ Red Square stores to buy some skincare products
This year Stoned Cherrie also celebrates a decade of style! Can you believe it? Ten years since I was begging my mom to shell out cash for a Drum t-shirt. Time flies, right? One thing that hasn’t changed? This member of the creative underclass *still* has to beg her mom to pay for the Stoned Cherrie stuff. Sigh.
Other beautiful people spotted at the launch included: Biance le Grange, SA Idols’ Liezel van der Westhuizen, Noni Gasa (who has left Glamour and is set to start at another title soon), PR gurus Farah Fortune and Melanie Ramjee and 5FM’s Poppy Ntshongwana. Head over to Jucy.co.za for some more pictures.

Wasn’t Bailey Schneider there too? I love her. Ypu’re so lucky you got to meet Nkhensani Nkosi.
